Courageous Homeschooling Through Tragedy, Trauma and Loss

Welcome! I do not know how many times I have pondered initiating a venture like this, but I suppose it has come down to truly settling it in my heart that this is the right time for me.

Not too long ago, I Googled to search if there was any other mother out there blogging about her journey homeschooling through crisis. However, I could not find one. I did it again, but still couldn't find one. So, I decided this may be a part of my destiny to open the doorways for other homeschooling parents who are trying to stand strong through what seems impossible. Maybe you are healing from a trauma, loss, or crisis; maybe you are in the thick of it. Either way, I hope this blog will offer a voice of encouragement and hope somehow.

"You are courageous to not give up. You are brave to stand strong in the midst of this storm. "

**Please know: I am NOT a professional counselor and cannot carry the weight of that responsibility nor replace what a counselor may offer. I am simply a person who understands the shoes you are wearing when enduring the stress of crisis, and hope this will offer you a safe place to run to when you think you won't be able to get through it another day.

Homeschool Help Through Crisis

I have been praying to God about how to help families who are homeschooling and enduring crisis. I know how lonely it can be to be enduring crisis, especially more than one at a time, and then have no one around you to relate to. It just makes it more burdensome. Our family has been through repeated events of crisis, trauma, tragedy, grief, and loss. So, knowing how that feels, what it is like, I am hopeful I will be able to connect to others traveling in similar shoes. It helps to connect with someone who comprehends the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual pressures you are battling.

It is my hope that God will expand the territories of this blog, open doorways for resources to fulfill needs, as well as, offer sources of encouragement. I have faith God has His plan on how to connect me to what is all out there, even the things and opportunities I don't know are out there. I am excited to unveil those discoveries as I uncover them! And, I look forward to bonding with you who are going 'through it' or have 'been through it' too.

Finally, it is a thrill to share my first discoveries this evening! It was utterly a divine God encounter; an unexpected gift of surprise to find these treasures. May these resources bless you somehow, assist you, and be a place you can run to--to lift your load and make it light. Also, I pray these resources will become an avenue of grace for you, a retreat of rest, a glimmer of light!

Hope is on it's way!

May God strengthen you, pour His favor upon you, surround you with His glory, and minister to you with all His might!

Do not grow weary! He is on your side! :)

Offered by https://heartsathomestore.com
(not just a store, but a source of ideas, direction and encouragement!)

Free Curriculum Offer-

After feeling a burden for homeschooling families who cannot afford curriculum, even at our low prices :), I started a new website called Curriculum Share. I truly believe this whole idea came directly from the Lord. People have asked why would I do such a thing and possibly lose sales if my potential and/or current customers could find what they needed for free? My answer: becasue God said so! I believe if I am obedient with the prompting He gives me, then He will bless BOTH ventures!

Curriculum Share is free to ALL homeschoolers! Curriculum Share is a community of homeschoolers who give and get homeschool curriculum for FREE! Curriculum Share is about cutting costs, not corners. You will pay only the cost of shipping agreed upon by you and the person you are getting your homeschool curriculum from.

For homeschooling families our children's education is a top priority, but a good education is costly. Especially one taught at home. Many homeschoolers are one income or low income families, and we struggle with the cost of living, let alone curriculum. With this in mind, we have created a place for homeschoolers where quality educational materials are free of cost. Members of Curriculum Share become part of a community that works together to make sure all of our children receive the best education we can give them.

Please check it out today and help us spread the word! We launched at the end of July 2010 and are growing rapidly! Hundreds of free curriculum items have found new homes - will you be next?
